Information Collected Automatically
When interacting with ProfileVouch, standard technical data may be recorded automatically, such as your IP address, browser configuration, operating system type, referring URLs, and interaction duration. This data is utilized solely for system security, performance optimization, and usage analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
Authorization Notice: When you request a privacy audit, exposure check, or opt-out service, we process and disclose the information necessary to perform that service based on your explicit request and authorization.
We process personal information for the following specific purposes:
- Publishing and hosting your authorized ProfileVouch professional page
- Executing agent-assisted opt-out and deletion requests with selected data brokers and people-search services
- Maintaining your personal privacy dashboard status and removal progress
- Delivering service notifications, platform receipts, and operational updates
- Protecting platform integrity and preventing fraudulent activity
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Disclosure only occurs under strict operational requirements:
- Selected Data Brokers & People-Search Entities: Information provided for privacy cleanup is submitted directly to designated people-search sites and data brokers strictly to facilitate your opt-out requests.
- Essential Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors (such as hosting infrastructure, email delivery, and secure payment processors) that assist in delivering platform operations under contractual confidentiality terms.
- Legal Compliance: When strictly required by law, official legal process, or valid governmental order.
4. Data Security
We implement robust technical and administrative protections to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Measures include SSL/TLS encryption in transit, strict database access limits, and regular security reviews.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you maintain specific rights regarding your data:
- Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal information stored in your account.
- Rectification: Update or correct inaccurate personal details.
- Deletion: Request complete deletion of your user account and published profile.
- Consent Revocation: Revoke authorization for ongoing privacy monitoring at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact our privacy desk at support@profilevouch.com.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information as follows:
- Active account information: Retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter.
- Service records and opt-out logs: Retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, respond to disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, or maintain required business records.
- Published profiles: Retained until you request deletion of your profile or account.
Upon account deletion requests, data is permanently purged from active systems, subject to standard backup cycle retention and legal compliance obligations.
7. Published Profiles & Search Engine Indexing
When you create a ProfileVouch professional page, you control its visibility:
- Public profiles may be indexed by search engines and visible to anyone with the link.
- Private link-only profiles are accessible only to those with the direct URL and are not indexed by search engines.
- You may switch between public and private visibility settings at any time through your dashboard.
- If you delete your profile, it will be removed from our active systems. However, copies may remain in search engine caches or third-party archives for a period. We do not control these external caches.
Important: Deletion of information from ProfileVouch does not automatically delete copies already held by third-party websites, search engines, data brokers, or other services outside our control.
8. Cookie Usage
We use session cookies and essential local storage to maintain security states and store user preferences. You can configure your browser to decline cookies, though certain core interactive features of the portal may require them for proper functionality.
9. Third-Party Web Links
ProfileVouch pages may link to external websites or profiles. We do not exercise control over external platforms and encourage you to review their respective privacy terms before sharing personal details.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this policy periodically to reflect operational modifications or statutory requirements. Any material updates will be indicated by revising the date at the top of this document.
